Conferences

Conferences and exhibitions are important venues to distribute information on exploration for oil and gas on the Icelandic Continental Shelf. The NEA organized and held the first Iceland Exploration Conference in 2008, which was a large success. Around 130 people attended the conference, including 50 from abroad with representatives from 16 oil companies. In addition, the NEA runs booths at various trade shows abroad and representatives give presentations at exhibitions and conferences.
