Energy Statistics

The National Energy Authority gathers data on various aspects of energy issues, such as the production, import, use and price of energy and certain parts of the operation of energy facilities. In addition, the NEA preserves various data on the energy resources and use in Iceland.

An important part of the activities of the NEA is the dissemination of such data and here various numerical information is made accessible that the NEA gathers such as on primary energy use, electrical energy production, geothermal utilisation, gas emissions, etc. Updated numbers are added as they become available.

The NEA publishes a small brochure displaying all the main Icelandic energy statistics, from primary energy use to electricity production. Copies are available at Orkustofnun and web version here.
