The international Geothermal Research Group GEORG held an interactive workshop on reservoir research in Iceland on March 4th 2010 in Orkugarður.

The workshop was very successful with over 50 participants, excellent presentations and fruitful discussions.

The goal of this interactive workshop was to bring together engineers and scientists involved in geothermal reservoir studies in Iceland to exchange ideas and increase understanding on geothermal resources.

The workshop also identified areas of future interest for the enhancement of geothermal development through local and international collaboration opportunities like IPGT (International Partnership for Geothermal Technology).

On the website of GEORG you can find video-clips of all the presentations and all relevant documents here.

As part of the IPGT collaboration an online workshop will be held in the USA on March 18th from 15:00-17:00 on GMT. Everyone is invited to participate through a live broadcast at Afhellir in Orkugarður.
